"I am excited to work with our amazing board and volunteers to sustain the excellent foundations already laid in knowledge-sharing, grantmaking and advocacy that will lead to a more equitable and respectful environment, rich in opportunity for the county's women and girls," says Scanlon.

JoAnn Perotti, newly elected president of the Fund, welcomes Jeanne Scanlon. "We are delighted to have Jeanne on board to help maintain and build on our momentum as we move into our 20th anniversary year with renewed energy and focus."

"By continuing to build on our work," Scanlon says, "our precious donors will feel confident that we, and the nonprofit organizations that we serve, will successfully execute the activities directly related to our individual missions and will have an understanding of the geographic and issue contexts in which we all work. This understanding not only keeps our work fresh and consistently relevant but is directly tied to an awareness of root causes, which leads to systemic change. So, here's to making the case in our 20th anniversary year. And, yes, we have some celebrating to do together as well!"

In addition to her work with the Bucks County Women's Fund, Jeanne is a consultant in sustainable organizations and communities. Her background in administration includes pension fund portfolio services at Morgan Stanley in New York City, where she also served as a grant reviewer on the company's peer grantmaking Volunteer Incentive Committee.

Jeanne transitioned to the nonprofit sector in 2002, working under the chief fundraiser for The After School Corporation, a major project of the Open Society Institute, and until 2009 was an Associate with the Claneil Foundation in Plymouth Meeting. Jeanne's board and committee work advances women's issues, energy conservation and a sustainable food system. Her undergraduate work at the Baruch School of Public Affairs was in public administration with a concentration in nonprofit management. This year she will complete a master's degree in Community and Regional Planning at Temple University's School of Environmental Design.

Jeanne lives with her artist husband on the Bucks County farm where he grew up. Their daughter is a social worker in New York City.

The Bucks County Women's Fund improves the lives of women and girls through advocacy, education, partnerships and grants. Managed by women, the Fund builds gender equity, creates social change, and promotes a culture of philanthropy among woman and girls.
