Saturday, June 14

Women's Fest '08, organized by Women in Art in Pennsylvania, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lehigh Valley College in Center Valley. This free family event features musicians, an art show, face painting and many vendors and activities. For more information, visit www.wiaipa.org.


Tuesday, June 24

Inaugural Meeting of the Women's Philanthropy Network, a group organized by the Philadelphia Foundation to help make philanthropy a part of everyday life for women in our region. Ellen Remmer, president and CEO of The Philanthropic Initiative, will guide you through the process of uncovering and unlocking your philanthropic potential. Location: The Roberts Room, Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP, 123 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia—11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Space is limited and registration is required. Saturday, July 19   2008 Italian Festa, Peddler's Village, Lahaska, 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and it's FREE, rain or shine. Singing, dancing, food and fun for the whole family. Italian market, cooking demonstrations, bocce ball, pizza tossing, grape stomping, silent auction, Sinatra singer and more, all to benefit cancer research at Jefferson/Kimmel Cancer Center.
 
Saturday, July 26   Take-A-Break Summer Day Camp for Women, Tohickon Valley Park, Pavilion 1, Point Pleasant, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. A rustic day of leisure in the park to reconnect, rejuvenate, relax and fill your spirit in the company of other women. Portions of the proceeds will be donated to NOVA and Autism Awareness. Cost: $80 before July 20, $90 afterwards, $95 on day of event if space allows.
