Without
question, our cause is quality of life; most of us take
comfort, security and opportunity for granted, but there
are too many others who are far less fortunate.
For
some, the needs are basic; as basic as health care, proper
food and shelter, even safety from domestic violence. Many
women find the lack of affordable child care prevents them
from working or resuming their education.For
still others, pay inequities and the lack of equality in
the workplace are major obstacles to advancement.
Our
extensive grant programming, awarded to area social service
agencies, supports programs, policies and practices that
empower women and girls in Bucks County.
The
ultimate beneficiaries are women in need, women who are
seniors, who are disabled, who are of color, who are of
limited economic means, who are entrepreneurs or in business,
and the list goes on.
We
envision a time when all of Bucks County’s women and
girls live in a world filled with promise, opportunity and
dignity.
