Kathy Beveridge Named Executive Director of the Bucks County Women's Fund

Kathleen Welsh Beveridge

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Kathleen Welsh Beveridge of Warminster recently was named Executive Director of The Bucks County Women's Fund (BCWF), a nonprofit public foundation which invests in women's lives and girls' futures to achieve a society that values, respects and supports all women.

"Having Kathy join the Bucks County Women's Fund is wonderful for the Fund, but also wonderful for Bucks County in general, where we support local programs for women and girls,” said Gayle Goodman, president of the Board of Directors. "We know Kathy's positive impact on this support will be tremendous.”

Women's issues are a personal passion for Beveridge, who comes to BCWF with interests and skills closely aligned with the mission of the Fund, which is to raise money to fund and support programs and policies that impact, empower and improve the lives of area women and girls.

With 15 years development experience in the nonprofit sector, Beveridge is working to devise and implement successful strategies to engage board members, volunteers and funders in support of the Fund's mission.

She has experience in a wide range of development activities, including strategic planning, communications, board development, volunteer engagement, fundraising, grant writing and major gift solicitation. She most recently served as the Director of Development and Alumni Affairs at Temple University, Ambler Campus.

Beveridge graduated from the Wharton Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania after earning undergraduate degrees from the University of Notre Dame in Government and Philosophy. She is working toward a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Administration at the University of Notre Dame and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

"As a 12-year resident of Bucks County, I feel privileged to help in my own community,” Beveridge said. "Working with the Board and numerous committed supporters, I hope to help the Bucks County Women's Fund increase its positive impact on the community and the lives of women and girls.”

The Fund embarked on a search for a new executive director after the former part time director, Linda A. Collins, Esq., accepted a full time position at another regional nonprofit organization.

The Bucks County Women's Fund, managed by women and incorporated in 1990, has awarded grants totaling more than $212,000 to 36 area organizations serving women and girls.
