Linda
A. Collins, Esq.

The
Bucks County Womens Fund recently appointed
an Executive Director and elected five new members
to the Board of Directors in a move to increase fundraising
and grant-giving in support of its mission to benefit
the women and girls of Bucks County.
Linda A. Collins, Esq., of Doylestown, a seasoned
administrator with expertise in the non-profit arena,
was named Executive Director of the foundation. Collins
has more than 26 years of professional and volunteer
experience as an advocate in the areas of womens
rights, violence against women and social justice.

Linda
brings a unique combination of vision, leadership and
a passion for social justice to the Bucks County Womens
Fund. She will ensure that our vision of equity for all
women and girls in Bucks County is realized, said
Jeanne Mantell, board president.
Prior to joining BCWF, Linda Collins served as a consultant
to non-profit organizations focusing on legal issues,
strategic planning and fund development. She is the former
executive director for Laurel House in Norristown, a shelter
for battered women and their children, and for the Womens
Center of Montgomery County. She has served on many boards
at local, state and national levels.
Collins earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education
degrees from Kutztown State University and her Law degree
from Temple University. She holds nonprofit management
and fund development certificates from Harvard University,
the Nonprofit Center at LaSalle University and Villanova.
BOARD EXPANSION
In
addition, the Bucks County Womens Fund welcomed
six new Board members elected to two-year terms who bring
a wide range of key skills and experience to the foundation:

Gayle
Goodman, of New Hope, an international entrepreneurial
consultant who advises startup and growing businesses,
will provide strategic direction. She holds an MBA
in economics, is a CPA, and worked for 20 years with
Ernst & Young, LLP. Goodman also is on the Board
of Directors of Alpha Phi Foundation.

Angela
Jacobsen, of Warrington, development manager for
Doylestown Hospital, brings expertise in annual
giving campaigns, endowment, planned giving, grantwriting
and donor database management. A Chartered Advisor
in Philanthropy, she is also an advisor for the
Pennsbury Partners Program.

|
Janet
L. Mintzer, MSW, of Doylestown, President and CEO
of Pearl S. Buck International, has a wealth of
experience in fundraising, awarding of grants and
administration of non-profits. She is a member of
the Board of Directors of the Pennridge Chamber
of Commerce and former Executive Director of Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County.

JoAnn Perotti, of Yardley, Director of Communications and Strategic Planning for The Bucks County Schools Intermediate Unit #22, will put her extensive marketing, public relations and communications skills to work for the Fund. Her expertise extends to fundraising and event planning on a volunteer basis and as executive director of the Intermediate Unit Education Foundation.

Yvette
Taylor-Hachoose, Esq., of Washington Crossing, is
an attorney in private practice specializing in
estate planning. She has been honored by the Philadelphia
City Council for her 20 years of leadership to the
Philadelphia Congress of the National Congress of
Black Women.

Judy Zipkin-Grasso, MSW, M.Ed., of Lumberville, Program
Director for Geriatric Behavioral Health at Frankford-Bucks
Hospital, holds a masters degree in counseling
and social work. She is also actively involved on
a volunteer basis with A Womans Place and Planned
Parenthood Association of Bucks County. |
The
Bucks County Womens Fund is a non-profit public
foundation incorporated in 1990. Its mission is to act
as a catalyst for systemic change and to help Bucks County
women and girls achieve self-determination, empowerment
and economic independence through support of organizations
and programs that respond to the critical needs of women
and girls. The fund also educates the community about
the importance of social change philanthropy.
