Be a Grant Reader

The Bucks County Women's Fund is establishing the new volunteer position of Grant Reader as part of our updated grant making process. There are just four criteria for a reader:

1. You must be a bright, self-motivating, energetic woman, who cares about the betterment of women and girls (and thus all of society) in Bucks County.
   
   
2. You must be knowledgeable about, and a supporter of, the BCWF. It's even better if you have made a monetary donation, and/or volunteered your time, and/or attended one or more of our events (all of which we thank you for).
   
   
3. You must comply with our Independence Policy for Readers to maintain both the reality and the appearance of objectivity and fairness in our grant making process.
   
   
4. You must attend the one-hour introductory meeting on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009. You will be able to choose from an 8 a.m. or 7 p.m. session. Also, you must attend the evaluation meeting from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009. We estimate your time commitment to read and evaluate applications on your own time will be five to 10 hours.
